The short of it
Tidehold is a living archipelago shared by everyone online. You don't grind toward a score. You build a trade. Cut wood, work metal, learn the blueprints that turn raw stock into goods and machines, then sell what you make to other players on an open exchange. Your island is your workshop, your storefront, and your claim on the map.
Chop, mine, fish, and forage the world for raw materials, and turn up blueprints and skill lamps while you work.
Learn blueprints to unlock recipes. Refine raw stock into planks, gears, and the buildings that make more.
Place what you craft on your island, run crafting stations, and charge other players a fee to use them.
List goods on the Quay. The market matches buyers and sellers and pays out the best price.
Two kinds of coin
Tidehold runs on two currencies so that fun and real value never get confused. You earn one just by playing; the other only ever changes hands between players, and it's backed by a real deposit you can withdraw.
The one rule
Playing the game never creates Convertible out of thin air. Every unit is a real deposit, and trade only moves it from one player to another. The single deduction is a small market tax that returns to the reserve, so the books always balance.
